Rachel M. Pusey received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, in 1997.  After graduation, she briefly relocated to Los Angeles where she volunteered at a local domestic violence shelter, worked at an office job and applied to law school.  After a two month sojourn in Greece where she studied Greek in Hania, Crete, she traveled many of Greece's gorgeous islands.  She then moved to San Francisco and attended University of San Francisco School of Law.  During law school, Ms. Pusey clerked at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office and the Alameda County Family Law Facilitator's Office.  Ms. Pusey was also Frank C. Newman scholar and participated in USF's Human Rights Clinic. As part of the clinical, she researched a prepared a position paper on the need for social/financial security for working women.  Ms. Pusey attended the 2002 Commission on the Status of Women and lobbied UN delegates to adopt her position for the final recommendations issued by the representatives.

Ms. Pusey has worked at The Dolan Law Firm since graduation and over the last five years Ms. Pusey has become an experienced civil rights attorney who specializes in employment law.  Ms. Pusey primarily represents employees who have been discriminated against, harassed, retaliated against and wrongfully terminated.  She is a focused and effective advocate for those who have been treated unlawfully in the workplace.  Ms. Pusey enjoys actively handling a case from inception to successful resolution.  Her clients appreciate her compassionate interaction with them and her zealous representation of them which ensures they receive the compensation they are entitled to. Ms. Pusey also handles personal injury cases, aggressively litigating on behalf of injured individuals.

Ms. Pusey has tried lawsuits against both small businesses and large corporations.  She has achieved successful arbitration and jury verdicts, and has negotiated numerous significant settlements for clients.                                   

Ms. Pusey manages to find time to exercise, including yoga and biking and working out in the gym Mr. Dolan installed in his new building.  She loves to cook and support local farmers by purchasing local, organic produce. She also sits on the Board of the National Women's Political Caucus San Francisco Chapter as the Treasurer which has given her the opportunity to learn the nuances of local, state and federal rules for committees and has given her the opportunity to actively support women in positions of leadership.
